Berlin is the seat of the German government and also the capital of the country. The surrounding area of the city has for a long time also been one of the most dynamic growth regions in Europe. Large numbers of new companies establishing a base in Berlin have meant that the city has become a strong economic location. The excellent infrastructure, large numbers of highly skilled workers and an excellent environment for science and research ensure that the city enjoys optimum location conditions. At the same time, Berlin is the gateway to Central and Eastern Europe as well as the economic regions of Western Europe, with the benefit of the new capital airport BBI and the largest and most modern railway interchange station in Europe.
As a result of industrial companies with a strong tradition, a strong SME sector, an excellent service sector and the increasing significance as a media location, Berlin enjoys a varied economic structure, thus contributing to the constant expansion of numerous companies of all sizes. Investors and companies looking for a new location benefit from attractive real estate projects in a wide range of locations, either central or in the surrounding areas.
